Mothers' Day Bible Study:

"And Jesus said to her, 'O woman [Mary], what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.'" — John 2:4

"While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him...He replied to him, 'Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?'" — Matthew 12:46-48

Jesus loved his mama. He was sooooo respectful. But let's not forget his whole view on "family values":

"If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple."— Luke 14:26

"For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law and a man's foes will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me" — Matt. 10:35-37; Luke 12:51-53

And, of course, nothing drives it home as well as internal contradictions:

"For God commanded, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him surely die.'" — Matt. 15:4

Where's that crackpot James Dobson at?
